Our goal at the Village of Oxford Gardens, is to assist residents to remain in their home for as long as they wish. In order to maximize their opportunity to have their care needs safely met in Oxford Gardens for those individuals needing additional care and security, with professional staff very nearby and on call 24 hours a day.
Our Assisted Living wing is
a beautifully designed and
appointed neighbourhood which includes special features such as a fine dining room and kitchen, craft and activity area, living room and lounge, and outdoor second story deck with a great view of gardens and activities. You’ll find the same lovely
finishes and attention to
detail that are evident in the Independent Supportive area,
the same fine carpeting, linens, and kitchenettes in each suite, and additional features, such as fully accessible washrooms, to make life easier and more carefree for residents requiring additional support.
The Assisted Living wing also has its’ own separate Wellness station so that Nursing Care Plans and charting, medication administration and other care requirements are at hand for easy access and to ensure that resident needs are met quickly, efficiently and safely, and that Wellness Staff have records readily available.
The price for residents living
in this area includes one hour per day of care, including a
combination of the Assisted
Living Care needs listed on next page. An Enhanced Care Package of one additional hour per day is available (for a total of two hours of care per day). An Enhanced Care Package of two additional hours per day is available over and above the monthly fee,
for a total of three hours of
care per day.
Each resident’s care needs are assessed on an individual basis, and are reassessed each month, in order that we provide a
comfortable experience and
sense of caring for each person making their home in Assisted Living, while continuing to
provide a lovely setting in
which to receive care.
The advantage of the Assisted Living area for those requiring Extra Care service, is that this small Assisted Living wing has its own dedicated professional staff members in attendance 24 hours per day. They are able to provide an increased level of security, care and monitoring for those residents whose care needs have become a priority for their comfort and safety. Residents are welcome to use all the amenities available in Oxford Gardens and to attend any activities they wish as long as it is deemed to be safe to do so by our Wellness Staff.
